Many high-street ranges begin at a 32 band. Boux Avenue's starts at 28, with cups from A. That makes it one of the few high-street places to find sizes such as 28B, 30A or 30C, which fall between mainstream ranges and the full-bust brands that start at a D cup. See 28 band bras in the UK.

Fashion styles in D to G

If you are a D to G cup and want fashion-led lingerie in matching sets, the range extends further than many fashion retailers.

Where it stops

• Above a G cup. For GG, H and beyond, look to full-bust brands. See UK brands that make J cups and above.
• Above a 40 band.
• Not every style covers the whole range. The smallest bands and largest cups tend to be offered in selected styles.

How the sizing fits

Boux Avenue uses standard UK band and cup sizing. Much of the range is padded, moulded or push-up, which has two consequences:

• Moulded cups are less forgiving of shape. If a cup gapes at the top or cuts in at the edge in your usual size, try the cup either side, then a different style.
• Push-up padding takes up room. Many people need a cup size up in a heavily padded style.

The fitting service

Fittings are free in Boux Avenue stores. As with any retailer, a fitter can only place you in sizes the shop stocks. If your measurements point to a size outside 28 to 40 or A to G, you may be offered the nearest available. Measure before you go, with the calculator, so you know whether your size is in range, and check the result with the fitting checklist.

Which size to try first

1. Your measured UK size.
2. In padded or push-up styles, the cup above as well.
3. If the band feels loose, the band below with a cup letter up.
