Find your size before you shop
- Underbust: snug, directly under your bust, tape level. Round to the nearest even number for your band. Add nothing.
- Bust: around the fullest part, tape resting lightly.
- Cup: bust minus band, one cup per inch, in UK lettering (D, DD, E, F, FF, G).
The UK bra size calculator works it out in inches or cm and lists your sister sizes. If you prefer to work from a bra you already own, see find your bra size without measuring.
Using Next's size range
- Filter by band first, then cup. It shows at once which styles exist in your size.
- Look at the fuller-cup selection if you are a DD or above. Styles designed for fuller cups usually have wider straps, deeper bands and more structured cups.
- Read the size list on each product. A style shown in your size elsewhere on the site may not be made in it.
- Check the size guide link on the product page. If it tells you to add inches to your underbust, use your real measurement for the band instead. See why the +4 method is wrong.
Which sizes to order
Ordering two or three sizes and returning the rest is the quickest way to find a fit online.
- Your starting size.
- The same band with one cup up, especially in padded or push-up styles.
- If you measured between bands, the sister size on the other band: 34D pairs with 32DD and 36C. See the sister size chart.
Check the fit
- Band level and firm on the loosest hook.
- No bulge over the cups after a scoop and swoop.
- Centre panel flat on your breastbone.
- Wires on ribcage at the sides.
- Straps steady without digging in.
If something fails, signs your bra doesn't fit tells you which size to try next.
If your size is not in the range
High-street ranges are thinner at the edges: small bands, large bands and larger cups. Do not move to a band that is too loose to find a cup that is in stock. Look at retailers that carry your size: see where to buy bras in unusual sizes. For comparison with other high-street retailers, see M&S and Asda George.
Frequently asked questions
Does Next have a bra size calculator?
Next publishes size guidance for its lingerie on its website. We could not confirm the current form of any Next sizing tool, so check the size guide link on the product page. Our UK bra size calculator gives you a starting size you can take to any retailer.
What sizes do Next bras come in?
Next sells bras in UK band and cup sizes, with a separate selection for fuller cups. The range differs by style and changes by season, so use the size filter on the Next website for your exact size.
Do Next bras fit true to size?
They use standard UK sizing. As with any retailer, fit varies with the construction: moulded and padded styles fit differently from unlined ones. Check each new style against the fit checks below.
