Who a 34 band fits
A 34 band is made for an underbust of roughly 33 to 35 inches (84 to 89 cm). It is the band most often sold in the UK, and the one shops are most likely to hand you first.

Sister sizes hold the same cup volume on a neighbouring band. They are the sizes to try when the cups fit and the band does not.
The common mistake at this size
Because 34 is treated as the default, many people wearing one have a ribcage nearer 30 or 32 inches. If your 34 rides up at the back or sits on the tightest hook, measure your underbust before buying another. The reverse also happens: people squeezing into a 34 who would be comfortable in a 36 with the cup letter one lower.
Checking a 34 band is right for you
- Fastened on the loosest hook, it sits level front and back.
- Two flat fingers slide under it at the back, and no more.
- With the straps slipped off, the bra stays in place.
The full set of tests is in how tight a bra band should be.
If you are between bands
If you measure 33 inches, try both 32 and 34. If you measure 35, try 34 and 36. Use the sister size each time so the cup volume stays the same: 34D pairs with 32DD and 36C.
